Iklwa Feminized

Iklwa comes from the foot of the Drakensberg mountains. The name Iklwa is the name given to the short stabbing spear that Shaka Zulu introduced into his armies arsenal.

It is possible that the Zulu warriors consumed these same genetics before battles and for ceremonies.

This is one of the phenotypes that descended from Miss Sticky that had been worked somewhat, in order to keep desirable traits while avoiding others that are less desirable.

Branches are peppered with fairly dense (for a sativa) nuggets all the way up and each branch is crowned by a spear shaped bud. Occasionally the top buds have flattened tops. The flowers are covered in trichomes that many will notice are smaller than most modern hybrids. What they lack in size, the more than make up with quantity and the smaller trichomes mean very little in terms of potency. This strain is potent and can be a little anxiety inducing for those not familiar with a fast sativa high.

Typically this strain will be ready to harvest anywhere from 9 weeks to 11 weeks but, most of the time its closer to 9 weeks. Like most of the sativa from the KwaZulu region, Iklwa has high resistance to mould and can grow extra large if given space, strong light and optimal nutrition. Plants grown in the ground can yield upwards of 650g. In large pots the average yield is around 350g plus. This is dependant on conditions of course.

Like the spear, this strain’s high is sharp and what many have termed as ‘instahigh’. The euphoria hits by the time you either exhale your first hit or begin your second. Consumers report feeling waves of euphoria, increased alertness and mental clarity.

Scents of spice, raw pine wood and earth are most common with this strain.
