Wild lady comes from the Kosi Bay area on the border of South Africa and Mozambique. Later flowering with fairly long internodes, she can grow very large and aggressively when given what she needs. Super hardy and very branchy, this strain responds excellently to being strapped down and especially to scrog type grows. As with most of the landrace sativa’s from Africa, the older the plant is allowed to get, the better the quality of the buds. That being said, great results can be achieved from growing the plant on a 12/12 light cycle from seed. Just expect a smaller plant.
She will double in size at a minimum in stretch.
The colas are spear shaped and dense r than average sativa buds but are not rock hard. Cooler temperatures during flower will provide denser buds. They are sticky and glisten with resin. Aromatics include pine, mint and earth. She takes about 11 weeks outdoors and around 10 weeks indoors. This strain is tolerant of drought conditions and is able to be grown in winter in the Western Cape with temperatures around 14℃.
The yield outdoors usually runs between 350g to 1000g depending on conditions and pot size. When planted in the ground and given ample water and light, growers can expect to harvest over a pound and occasionally 2 pounds.
This strain is very resistant to bud rot and mold as it has grown in humid regions for centuries.
The effects of the Wild Lady are intense and immediately uplifting. Effects such as feeling re-energized, improved alertness and focus are the hallmarks of this strain. The Wild Lady will leave the consumer incredibly high but not stoned at all. This can be quite a different experience when compared to the ‘stone’ most users are familiar with. The high is exceptionally clear with very little to no fogginess. A wonderful strain for social occasions, which often causes users to laugh hysterically and generally have a positive effect on the mood of the occasion. Also perfectly suited to consume before getting outdoors. As the effects are so clear in the head, consumers often find the Wild Lady to be the perfect choice for a wake and bake or general day time smoke.
Harvesting when the majority of trichomes are milky or cloudy provides the most intense high and it is recommended to harvest during this window. In short as close to 80% milky, 10% clear and 10% amber will provide the consumer with a high quality KwaZulu landrace high.
This is a sativas sativa if there ever was one.
